Airbnb for Toilets = Airbnp
When you gotta go, on the go
We are officially halfway through the week!
Ten years ago, it was insane to think about paying a stranger and staying in their home (much less a room in their home). To say Airbnb was a disruptive model is a massive understatement. They upended the hospitality business.
For better or for worse, the slow-moving tentacles of capitalism tend to extend their reach further and further in the name of increasing shareholder value. This makes sense, although it can lead to some seemingly strange business decisions when extracting value takes priority over creating value and serving a customer. However, if you have a monopoly the market will tolerate this… for a time.
To that end, what if in the name of profit maximization Airbnb entered a new market? Restrooms seem to be hard to find when we need them most and to be honest, there have been moments where I would absolutely pay a premium to get access to one sooner rather than later.
Introducing: Airbnp
On one hand, this is a terrible idea because you need to pay for every public restroom use. On the other hand, this is an amazing idea that I’m surprised no one has capitalized on yet (maybe one of you will).
