AirPods cancel out certain people’s voices
"What'd you say?"

AirPods are one of my favorite pieces of technology developed in the past few years. The hardware is amazing. Between the multiple types of noise cancellation, how easy it is to transfer between devices, and how fast they charge, I have very few complaints.
One thing I’ve noticed is how well AirPods work overall. It’s not uncommon for me to work in the office and not hear people who want to talk to me because I’m locked in with noise cancellation.
This got me thinking… what if there was an option only to block out certain people? This would be helpful in some professional contexts, but I’d assume most people would use it to drown out annoying peers, friends, or family. The amount of conflict this feature might cause would be wild. I' don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze on this one, but it’s an interesting thought exercise.
