AMC vow of silence
I would pay extra to attend movies like this

Going to the movies is a magical experience. The smell of popcorn, the massive screen, the total escape from the insanity of day-to-day life for a few hours. It’s such a unique feeling, and I hope as a society we continue to invest in filmmakers and cinema so these places can continue to exist. My wife and I are movie fiends and see stuff in theaters together all the time. If you haven’t been to the movies in a while, I recommend it.
However, the social contract when you enter a movie theater is often broken. People talk loudly, use their phones, cough, or just smell bad. This got me thinking, what if there were some sort of pledge you could make that you’ll be on your best behavior while at a movie? There could even be repercussions if you aren’t able to keep your word and behave.
The difficult thing around this feature is enforcement. Yes, theaters have cameras that do a great job of monitoring the behavior of moviegoers, but it’s another thing entirely to measure the volume of their activity and kick them out of the theater if they’re too loud. The operational expenses this would incur are likely just too high.
