American Airlines Shock Option

Keep those feet off my seat

Yesterday, I made the trek from New York back to Los Angeles. It’s a long flight, but it’s made even longer when people put their feet up on your armrest. I understand the need to stretch one’s legs a bit, but there’s a line, and that line ends at my armrest.

People, however, do not know how to set boundaries for themselves. That being the case, what if we made it easier to “punish” people who encroach on your space in the air?

This led me to think of a feature one could use to shock the person behind them if they put their feet up on your armrest. Is this extreme? Yes. Do drastic times call for drastic measures? Yes.

This would never get built, but there need to be better boundaries between you and the person behind you.
