Apple Health funeral planning

Apple Health is a great tool (if you care about your health, which frankly I don’t spend enough time on). I personally don’t use it much because I’m super busy and just go to the gym when I can, but I digress. It surfaces information about sleep, steps, and more if you integrate different devices and apps into it.

This got me thinking about one “health” related event that is guaranteed to happen in everyone’s life: dying. What if there were features to plan your funeral in Apple Health? Yes, it’s a bit morbid, but there’s real utility here as it could help loved ones have more clear actionable steps and it’s less work when they’re grieving.

I could see a version of this being built one day. I don’t think Apple would ever say “you’re gonna die soon” and show you a photo of a casket, but setting up a basic will, instructions, and even financing things for your funeral could be legitimately beneficial.
