Apple Health with social media usage

For the terminally online

I’ve been using Apple Health lately to conduct some light research for Stompers. It’s a dead simple app that makes it easy to figure out if you hit your fitness goal or not. I typically hit my fitness goal on the days when I’m in the airport because it forces me to walk a lot. Other than that, I find myself often locked inside slapping keys on a keyboard, and in meetings all day.

Even if I was active on Apple Health, it wouldn’t paint the full picture. So much of my day-to-day is spent glued to a screen that I rack up some crazy Apple Screen time stats. This got me thinking, what if there was a feature where you could see a side-by-side comparison of your physical and digital activity?

This concept is only unhinged for people who spend a disproportionate amount of time glued to a screen. I bet this would motivate many people to get out and move more regularly.

Maybe this isn’t a bad idea, but it’s still unlikely for Apple to integrate two completely product functions, as it makes it difficult for both teams to independently hit the KPIs I assume they have set forth.
