Apple Intelligence Photo "Feedback"

Unsolicited, of course

A few days ago my AirPods stopped working. At a loss for what to do, I decided to upgrade to iOS 18 as a last-ditch effort to reconnect them. The second I hit the update button, my AirPods magically appeared and started pairing.

Now, I have never been one to believe the rumors that Apple intentionally degrades its products over time to get people to upgrade. Still, after this little fiasco, I’m more suspicious. Why did I have to upgrade to the new OS to use them? I’d been avoiding the latest OS because I know how much it changes the experience of everyday apps like the calculator and photos.

Alas, time (and operating systems) only march forward. I've noticed many changes as I’ve used the Photos app over the last few days. This (plus some sunglasses a friend gifted me) led me to think about a feature where Apple Intelligence could provide “feedback” on your pictures. If the pictures were really bad, it could even disable certain functionality, like sharing.

There’s little to no utility here. However, some people setting up dating profiles or trying to take pictures for another important occasion might appreciate this, I’m not sure.
