Apple Podcasts AI Narrator

People on social media are a little less vocal about the wonder of AI these days. However, there are still a ton of amazing applications being built as the tech continues to evolve.

I’ve been blown away by how AI can take a small sample of someone’s voice and then repurpose it and create new dialogue/music/etc. with it.

Recently, I was listening to a great podcast, but I didn’t love the narrator's voice. Then I watch a show like Our Planet narrated by David Attenborough. It makes me wonder… what if David could narrate everything?

Theoretically with AI, this is possible. I mocked this up in Apple Podcasts. This idea is great in theory but starts to get weird when we think about who earns revenue based on this. Is it the podcast or the creator?

More importantly, what if a voice is used to narrate ideas or political perspectives that don’t align with the person saying them?

I don’t have answers, but it raises a lot of questions about ethics, ownership, and how AI gets implemented in tools we use on a daily basis.
