Chase pay off debts with organs
It might actually be worth an arm and a leg
According to some research (hint: a Google search), the average American household has around $10,563 of credit card debt. This is alarming, but not surprising given how expensive it is to simply exist in the world today.
Now here’s where it gets even more interesting. A human kidney can sell for $10-25k (I’d assume it varies depending on condition). Worst case scenario, your organs are worth about the same as the debt the average household carries.
Getting a bit more morbid… what if there was an option within financial platforms like Chase where you could offer to use your organs to pay off credit card debt?
I’d venture to guess someone has done this before, but outside of Chase’s platform for obvious reasons. To add this into the project is 1) extremely dark and 2) an admission that the current financial world is that bad for some consumers.
I don’t see this getting built, but if people are desperate enough, they’d do this anyway.
