Chase pay your taxes to use your credit card

Tax season is here. Okay, for many of you, tax season has already come and gone.

I am still playing catch-up. Fortunately, this past year was good for me and my businesses (my book, my agency, and my app Stompers). Less fortunately, I have not been paying my dues to Uncle Sam along the way so now it’s time to cough up my dues. Thankfully, I’ve seen many companies poorly manage their finances and not be able to cover payroll + other expenses. We have cash reserves for this exact reason.

While I confront my impending tax liabilities, I have to ask myself, what if there was a way for the IRS to lock people out from spending more money until they settle their tax liability?

This fundamentally destroys the value of purchasing something on credit. It also fully negates the old adage, “you’ve got to spend money to make money”. People would riot if this feature came to life, and I don’t blame them.

All that said, I guess I should just get my tax bill sorted and be done with it, but it’s annoying regardless.
