Chase share debt with family and friends

Sharing is caring after all

Debt, specifically credit card debt, is a pervasive problem in the United States. It came to mind because of recent government rulings that negatively impact consumers (as businesses can opt to reject card providers). I don’t have enough context to make a more opinionated assessment of the ruling, but it’s wild to me that we’re still having these conversations when such better technology exists.

This got me thinking more about general consumer debt and how people can pay off their dues more quickly. What if there were a way to invite family and friends to help you pay down a balance? I can imagine 1) how angry this would make the general public and 2) how many fights between friends and families this would cause.

There is a world where this is a beneficial experience because it helps some get the assistance they need, but it would inevitably cause a lot of conflict. Probably more harm than it’s worth.
