ChatGPT wants a break

Data center work is hard

At this point, I’m a daily user of ChatGPT. Thankfully, I haven’t stooped to the level of having it write for me, but as a thought partner/someone who can give feedback, it is an invaluable tool to have. I pay for the more advanced version for the times I need to do deep research, but have not jumped into the wild world of agents (still have no idea what those are).

I was thinking recently about all the work we place on the shoulders of ChatGPT.

What if there were a way to make sure that we’re not “overworking” the product? Forget the features indicating when servers are down. Imagine ChatGPT could ask for a break when it’s been working too hard.

I imagine this would simply frustrate most users (rightfully so) as you expect a product to work whether you are a free or paid subscriber. This might be a good feature for the sake of critical thought, but I doubt something like this ever makes it live for obvious reasons.
