DoorDash add people to order more food

I have family in town, and after the recent video spot we made for Figma, I’m very tired. As a result, we decided to stay in last night and order DoorDash. It was delicious. There’s something magical about tapping a few buttons and manifesting food on your doorstep. It’s amazing.

Since I have company, my order last night was significantly larger than it typically is. This got me thinking about the cart-building experience. What if DoorDash prohibited you from ordering too much food unless you added someone else?

This is insanely invasive and extremely annoying if you’re trying to order with friends. They have shared carts for a reason, but making that a forced default experience is wild work. People would be so frustrated.

This would never ship but it’d be funny if it did.
