DoorDash block your calendar

I love wings, but do they love me?

I love Wingstop. Last year, it was the only thing that carried me through some very trying times. However, since turning 30 I’ve realized ingesting Wingstop is in and of itself a catalyst for trying times. I long for the days of being 20 and being able to just eat garbage with little to no consequence. Ah well, such is life.

This got me thinking. Your phone likely has enough information to detect not only when you’re placing an order, but also a rough estimate on when you’ll be dealing with the consequences of an order (yes, I’m wording this delicately intentionally). What if DoorDash offered an integration with your work calendar and programmatically blocked time the next day, based on what you order?

It’s an enormous invasion of privacy, but at the same time, I would benefit from a feature like this. No, normally Wingstop isn’t disruptive enough that it’s gotten in the way of work, but there have been some close calls. We’re probably a few years away from all of the data properly integrating to serve this functionality, but I think with time it’s definitely possible.
