DoorDash order approval

When traveling, I have made some relatively unhinged DoorDash orders. If you arrive at a hotel at 11pm, have calls starting at 7am the next day, and need to still do a significant amount of work, it just makes sense. 7/11 comes in clutch when you’re in a pinch (though yes, it feels weird ordering Gatorade, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and a bunch of other junk food that seems unrelated late at night).

This got me thinking about DoorDash users more broadly. What if orders required approval from people you know? One way to do this (poorly) would be to require a randomly selected contact to allow or reject orders you want to place?

I, for one, would be more thoughtful about my order. There’s a world where the social contract is upheld and everyone approves every order, but I think nutritionists and health nuts would fight back on this. Either way, it’d make for a fascinating social experiment.
