DoorDash step-by-step notifications

I’m officially on break for the holidays! Will I end up responding to some emails? Yes. However, I’m hopeful I can mostly take time off.

I’m trying to take a step back this week and recharge because I need it.

As I reflect on the past year, a lot has changed since last Christmas. One (relatively small change) is that I’ve caved and am now a regular DoorDash user.

I fought this for a long time, but manifesting Indian food with a couple of taps of my thumb is simply too appealing. Even the order tracking on the product is pretty good and though my dog isn’t a big fan of Dashers, they generally leave the food at your door without disrupting your evening (sometimes I miss the order entirely).

What if there was a more granular way to track your order? I imagine a step-tracking app where someone else gets notified for every step your driver takes and how far they are from you. This would be super annoying (and likely inaccurate), but interesting too.
