DoorDash talk to your chef

I’ve mentioned this before, but over the past few months, I’ve been completely DoorDash-pilled. Nothing beats hitting a button and manifesting Indian food at your door after a long week of work.

One of the annoying idiosyncrasies of my favorite Indian spot near my house is that they don’t give you rice with each order (like they say they will in the description) unless you call and specifically ask for it. This isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it is pretty annoying at times.

This got me thinking… what if there was a feature within DoorDash where you could directly contact the chef at any point during the preparation process? My gut says that while this would provide more “visibility”, it would irritate food service workers and significantly delay order times.

They say you don’t want to see how the sausage is made. The same is likely true of your DoorDash order.
