DoorDash Thanksgiving leftovers optipn

When you want just a little more green bean casserole

Today is the big day. Millions of turkeys will enter the oven. Billions of green beans will be consumed. Football will be watched. Naps will be taken. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m grateful for all of you who have followed along so far on my unhinged UI journey throughout this past year.

We had a mini-Thanksgiving feast at my house yesterday, but I know in a few days I’ll have a craving for green bean casserole, but we’ll have depleted our supply by then.

This got me thinking, since there will be a huge amount of leftover food across the country in the next week, what if we made it easier for people to get rid of this food while maybe making a little bit of money? Introducing: DooDash Thanksgiving leftovers option.

With this feature, you can easily list the food you have and make it available for sale. A dasher will pop by your house and take it to the buyer.

In the past, apps like Shef have tried to make everyone’s kitchen into a ghost kitchen, which doesn’t scale super well. However, I feel like there are time-constrained opportunities like this one that could be quite beneficial (albeit a bit unhygienic).
