Drunk Tweet Alerts

Influence how we post while... under the influence

Celebrities tweeting while drunk is a tale as old as time. From Sam Smith to Anna Kendrick, in an earlier era of Twitter, many stars were okay with being a bit more unhinged with what they tweeted.

Yes, people still drunk Tweet, but fewer people of significant social status post their most intrusive thoughts. Probably a good thing.

This concept was brought back to my attention by Eade, a Twitter user who requested a lil badge for drunk tweets yesterday.

I thought about a drunk Tweet badge, but given I wanted to incorporate the BAC level of the user and an admonition to avoid drinking in Tweeting, I decided to repurpose the interface typically used for community notes.

This pattern breaks for anyone who doesn’t wear invasive health devices 24/7. However, a world where our BAC is monitored constantly does not feel far off.
