Facebook See Who Forgot Your Birthday

What friends are paying attention?

First off. No, it is not my birthday.

However, I’ve noticed as I get older fewer and fewer people wish me a happy birthday. This isn’t a bad thing. A few high-quality relationships are much more important to me than a bunch of shallow birthday wishes.

That said, there was something uniquely heartwarming about the period in time when people would comment on your wall or send you a birthday message on Facebook. Maybe I’ve moved to a more nihilistic corner of the internet, but it really seems like those days are gone.

LinkedIn does a weirdly good job of reminding you when it is a professional connection’s birthday, but what if a platform like Facebook notified you who forgot your birthday?

Highlighting who forgot or ignored your birthday would A) be a much longer list and B) allow you to put friends on blast if they should have remembered.

I would hate to see this feature get built because I’ll be the first to admit I’m bad about remembering birthdays.
