Fandango option to block seats

I love going to the movies. Will I go to see The Meg 2 on Monday? No. However, I have seen a lot of good stuff at the box office in the past few months.

One moment, in particular, stood out to me. I went by myself to the new Indiana Jones movie (I do not normally do this I swear) and was trying to book a seat on the Fandango website.

This was my first mistake, as their website is hard to use.

Once I got to select my ticket, I was thrown an error when I tried to pick a seat because you “can’t book one seat in the middle of rows”. This feels especially insulting to single people (or introverts) who just want to see a good film by themselves every once and a while.

This got me thinking though… what if we made this a feature rather than an error? For some exorbitant price, you could block off the seats around you.

As a tall person, I could almost see using this for the seat in front of me, but also I’m not gonna be that guy.
