Fandango upsell to control your viewing experience

Inside me, there are two wolves. One has a strong desire to sit down and enjoy a movie from start to finish without interruptions. The other wants to drink a 60oz Mountain Dew in less than an hour.

More often than not this just means I really need to use the bathroom after a movie is over, but sometimes it means I run out of the theater and race for the bathroom hoping I don’t miss any vital plot points.

This makes me wonder… what if Fandango and other movie theater apps provided an upsell where you could control the movie (pausing, fast forward, volume, etc.)? This would make the movie-going experience more pleasant for whoever purchases the upsell, but unfortunately, everyone else will have to yield to their desires.

Likely, a lot of people would buy this just to troll the theater. It would also cause disruptions in the runtime of a movie and could delay showings. Maybe the solution here is just to get a nicer TV and sound system at home.
