Find My Friends see current website

A little too much information

It has never been easier to stay in touch with (or track) your friends. Apps like Stompers or Strava give you a window into their activity. Apps like Airbuds and Spotify show you what people listen to. The social apps show you what they’re up to in life, and even screen time apps show how much time someone spends on a platform.

This got me thinking about digital activity. Apps like Find My Friends show you where people are, but what if you could see what people are doing digitally? You can imagine a world where the app or website someone is on is publicly visible. Not only is this a privacy nightmare, it’d likely be quite embarrassing for people.

I don’t think this is a great idea. However, it’s an interesting thought starter for how to think about reducing screen time, creating shared visibility and accountability with friends, and more. Who knows? Maybe there’s a product here.
