Force Close Friends to watch stories

Stories and Reels seem to be the core product functionality for Instagram these days. No one posts photos anymore unless it’s a dump at the end of the month. I forgot to start posting photo dumps last year, and at this point, the dump would be far too large/all over the place. The result? I don’t post personal stuff on Instagram, it’s too much of a hassle.

I try to skim my friends' stories to keep up with what they’re doing, though transparently trying to do this while also running 2 companies is, in a word, difficult.

But what if my friend is doing something extremely memorable or important? There could be a feature where you require people to watch ALL of their stories without skipping. I know with 100% certainty that the people who’d use this would abuse it. Some people post 1 or 2 stories weekly and others post 15 stories whenever they do anything. There is no in-between.

I hope this doesn’t get built (for obvious reasons), but watching the chaos unfold would definitely be entertaining if it did.
