Gemini brutally honest notes

Coworkers beware

Google’s Gemini initiative has become an unrelenting force. First I saw it in Gmail, then it made it’s way into Docs. Now it’s all over Google Meet. Sometimes it starts taking notes and I didn’t even want it to. It feels… inevitable that one of the most powerful companies on earth will slowly be able to roll out AI functionality that 1) many people will use and 2) will kill many nascent startups operating in similar spaces.

This got me thinking about human behavior on Google Meet. People are sometimes the most unreliable part of the work we do. What if there were a way to call this out? I’m imagining a Gemini feature where it takes brutally honest notes and shares them mid-call to out people who say dumb things or leave the meeting unceremoniously

There’s not much value in a brutally honest, public-facing AI work companion, though it could be helpful for individuals trying to hone their skills in the workforce (maybe? I’m not sure). Regardless, I don’t see a world where this gets build in the near to mid term.
