Google Calendar annual meeting quota

Sometimes I have weeks where I find myself in back to backs. Other weeks I find I have a bit more bandwidth and free time. It’s an ever changing balance, but I do like the variability of things. Keeps me on my toes. Looking back at this year… I was on a lot of meetings, probably averaged 10-15 hours a week (between reviews, pitches, etc.).

This got me thinking about people who weren’t on many calls… what if there were a minimum quota they needed to meet? I can imagine a world where people get close to the end of the year and are racing to meet their quota.

This already sortof exists in the corproate world for sales people, but rather than benchmarking against arbitrary things (like meetings) it’s sales targets, OKRs, etc. The idea of the platform itself having an incentive to get you on more meetings feels more dystopian/awful.
