Google Calendar ask why a meeting was scheduled
Does this need to be a meeting?
Working at a big company inevitably means getting added to a lot of meetings. Some of them are valuable. Many of them… are not.
I will say in recent months Google has made it much easier to reschedule a meeting, propose a new time, and more. However, many times you receive an invite and are left thinking… what is this meeting about? Does it need to happen? Why were so many people invited to this?
This got me thinking, particularly for meetings with a large attendee list it would be helpful to include a feature where you could simply ask “Why was this scheduled?”.
For larger meetings, this might reach a level of critical mass that you feel a need to cancel the call altogether. On the other hand, if a lot of people are confused about the meeting you may feel led to provide more context.
