Google Maps Ask for Directions
For those who are truly lost

I’ve been in New York for a couple of days. I’m realizing I enjoy the big apple a lot. The energy is great, I’ve made friends here, and the food is great. However, it’s a huge city and I’m relying a lot on Google Maps to help me get places.
Part of New York’s charm is the brash nature of the people who live there. They aren’t afraid to tell you what to think of… well, anything. This got me thinking about how uncomfortable it might be for a shy person to ask for directions.
To help these people, what if there was a way to ask for directions? You could specify the location, write a short message, and then air drop the request to Google Maps users around you.
Apart from the spamming and general frustration that this would bring about, there might be something to this idea.
I, however, would probably be too proud to use this feature. If I can’t figure it out for myself, maybe I should just go home.
