Google Maps fast food temptation
For when you’re just too hungry
Happy Wednesday all.
Google Maps used to be one of my favorite apps because it was so intuitive. However, over time it’s gotten increasingly complex. Apple Maps has really caught up while preserving a simpler experience. Google at times suggests weird routes that unnecessarily add time to get to my destination. Not cool.
One feature I do like is that if you tap the search icon while en route you can find gas stations, food, etc. along the way. This is great but extremely hazardous if you’re trying to search while driving
Given Google is in the ad business, what if they used your history to tempt you with your favorite foods at the right time and proximity? It’s debatably useful in this form, but there is likely some permutation of this that could be quite valuable if it’s controllable by the user.
