Drive with friends (or enemies)

I spent a decent amount of time driving this weekend. First, I had to head to South LA for band practice on Friday. Then on Saturday, I had to head up to North LA for a show my band was in. Ended up being about 4.5 hours in total. This is standard fare for anyone who lives and does things in Los Angeles regularly.
Years ago, I was an aggressive driver. I wanted to get where I needed to be fast. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve stopped caring. These days I typically sit in the middle or right lane and just go the speed limit (or a bit above because it’s California and everyone does). It’s much more relaxing, and I get places in about the same time.
This got me thinking about all the crazy people on the road and how aggressive they can be. What if there’s a reason for them being nuts? What if there were a way for them to communicate with nearby drivers via text or call?
My gut says this would exacerbate rather than mitigate road rage. However, there are likely a few instances where this could be an immensely beneficial feature. Doubtful it ever gets built due to privacy concerns alone.
