Google Meet live transcript of the call while you prepare to join

What's going on in there?

Have you ever joined a meeting late and the vibe was weird? Have you ever left a meeting and a few other people stay on? Both of these situations are nightmare fuel for those of us who are prone to be self-conscious.

Before a big meeting, sometimes you need to get yourself ramped up. Maybe you need to let off some steam. Who knows. Regardless, there’s usually some sort of conversation that happens as individual people join the meeting.

This got me thinking… what if you could preview a live screen of what everyone is talking about as you prepare to join?

If this existed, I think some people would just never join the meeting. They’d lurk and wait for someone to say something they object to and then enter at that moment. Realistically if this existed people would quickly adjust their behavior and take their conversation elsewhere.

Have a friend who would lurk before joining a meeting to see what gets said? Send them this newsletter.
