Google Meet make this an email button

The future of work somehow ended up being a lot of writing prompts and going to unnecessary meetings. Not sure how we got here. Oh well. Thankfully I’ve started to cut down and am now in like 10-20 hours of calls a week vs. 25-35 which is what last year was like. Yes, I know this is nuts, but it’s the way that it is.

This got me thinking about my calendar. I regularly find myself reaching out to people trying to understand the intent of a meeting to determine whether or not my presence is needed (it’s often not). What if no one is needed? What if it could just be an email. There should be an option to request that a meeting be turned into an email.

I think this is actually a great idea and I could see someone building this. Getting people to adopt it might be hit or miss, especially since it would need to either be built into calendar by google or widely adopted as a chrome extension, but still, I think the idea is pretty strong.
