Google Meet participant heart rate
"Feeling nervous?"

In the past decade, I’ve spent more than my fair share of time on Google Meet. The meetings per day average hit its peak when I was at Square (I was often on 5-6 hours of calls per day). In retrospect, this wasn’t necessary, and I’ve since tried to drastically reduce the time I spend on digital meetings. That being said, sometimes you have to hop on a “quick call”.
This got me thinking about the intensity of some calls I’ve joined (to be fair, most are pretty chill). Some have gotten heated, though. Other times, people are nervous to present something important to higher-ups. In some cases, people haven’t properly prepared for the call, and they’re nervous about what they’re going to say to make up for their lack of preparation.
What if there were a way to see the average heart rate of participants on a Google Meet? Ideally, this indicator would be live so you could see people become more or less nervous on the call. This would be so interesting because it’d be a tell when people are concerned about things that might seem innocuous when they’re discussing them.
Given how invasive this is to individual user data, I doubt it ever goes live, but if it did, the implications would be wild.
