Google Meet post meeting therapist upsell

Brought to you by BetterHelp, of course

Work is stressful. Meetings at times can be stressful too. Whether it’s a heated conversation with a small group or a presentation to a large group, sometimes you need a beat to decompress after a meeting.

It’s hard to do this with back-to-back calls though. This happens more than I’d like to admit. In a passing conversation with a friend this week they said something along the lines of, “Sometimes I get off a call and feel I need to go to therapy.” A light bulb went off for me almost immediately.

Google Meets has a relatively uninspired post-meeting screen. Pretty much all they do is prompt you to review the audio and video quality of a call. What if we used this as a moment to refer people to a licensed therapist from BetterHelp? Better yet, this could be programmatically shown based on the tone, facial expressions, and words used in a call.

Invasive, to be sure. However, it’d be a huge moneymaker for Google and BetterHelp if more thoughtfully implemented.
