Google Meet see what they're looking at
Don't video conference and shop

I spend a non-negligible portion of my week on video calls. When you’re on a call, it can be difficult (at times) to discern whether or not someone is giving their full attention to you or other people in the meeting. I partially blame the pandemic for deep frying our attention spans, but also, multitasking has been somewhat normalized with the rise of remote work.
This got me thinking about apps I regularly use, like Google Meet. What if there were a way to easily see the app and associate action someone was taking to discern the level of focus on a call? My gut says this would lay bare how little attention most people pay when on a call. It may also be a forcing function for fewer meetings.
This could be a net-positive. Yes, people would likely be frustrated by how distracted people are, but it’d force people to pay attention or reconsider whether the call needed to happen in the first place.
