Google Meets option turn on all cameras

Total involuntary exposure

Most of us have been through long, boring meetings where most people have their cameras off. This, in my opinion, is typically an indicator that the meeting could have been an email or Slack message but that’s a conversation for some other time.

A persistent problem with some remote teams is an inability to keep people engaged. What if instead of motivating people by making meetings more interesting/productive, we motivated them by fear?

Imagine a world where you enter a meeting knowing at any moment the host could turn on your camera along with everyone else. This would cut down on the number of people who eat lunch or use the restroom during a meeting to be sure, but it would also cause a lot of unnecessary drama and stress.

Sometimes, just knowing a feature exists is enough to significantly shift someone’s behavior.

Have a friend who would expose people with this feature?
