Stay up to date on family group chats
Group texts can be overwhelming. Being in a bunch of group chats just gets to be chaotic and difficult to manage. I remember back in my youth being excited when I got added to a new group. I’m not sure if I’m more introverted, jaded, or just overwhelmed, but group chats have lost their luster.
Now that I’m married, it’s also easy to get the most information about what’s happening in family matters from my wife. This means that more often than not I’m a lurker in some family group chats. Sometimes, especially during the holidays, these chats can start to blow up.
What if there was an ability to “Auto-Engage” with these threads? The simplest permutation of this would probably be automatically matching the behavior of other group participants when a lot of people like, or dislike a message. Additionally, you could send auto-generated replies with AI, but this feels like it has more potential to go off the rails.
Then again, you could just… read and reply to things like a normal person.
