iMessage block link sharing

We' all have that one friend who loves to send us stuff. I can think of multiple people off the top of my head who send me memes and videos all the time, even though I’m quite bad about responding in a timely manner. I don’t mind it, but I know some people share so much content that it gets a bit… overwhelming.

This got me thinking about platforms like iMessage. There may be times where you don’t want to fully block someone, but you want to be able to block them from sharing links because it’s just too much to deal with.

I can see a world where Apple implements more granular controls like this, though it would be a difficult thing to message to the recipient (I assume most people would not be happy if their permissions were blocked). Then again, maybe they’d understand that they’d been sharing a little too much.
