iMessage Group Chat TL;DR
Why is my phone blowing up?
As a middle/high-schooler, I remember having the constant fear of missing out on group chats or events I wasn’t invited to. It’s not that I was excluded for things, but rather I was in my own head a little too much.
Now I’m an adult. While the group chats are fun, they can be a lot to keep track of at times. If I put my phone down for even an hour sometimes I’ll come back and have a lot to catch up with.
The thing is, often the conversations aren’t very substantive. In these instances, it’d be helpful to have a quick way to catch up with what’s been going on in the conversation.
Introducing: iMessage group chat TL;DR
You open your phone and see a group chat that sent a bunch of messages. Instead of going through all of them, you can get a simple summary of the conversation. This would be helpful for people who are less attached to their phones, but I could also see it perpetuating the problem of a group chat becoming a couple of people sending all the messages and everyone else just getting caught up rather than participating.
This feature is a bit less unhinged and has some potential utility.
