iMessage honest ETA
For the perpetually late
Happy Wednesday everyone.
We all have a friend (or loved one) who is perpetually late. Often times this person isn't just late, they also underestimate how late they are. This manifests as inaccurate or outright dishonest predictions of how far away someone is from their destination.
Between our reliance on Apple and Google Maps for navigation and the amount of data our phones have on our behavior, it's not out of the question that iMessage or some other OS could predict how late you will actually be. It could also out you for providing a dishonest response when a friend asks where you are.
Sure, this could also be solved with a tool like Find My Friends. However, pulling this layer of data directly into the message view feels much more aggressive and forces transparency.
But will more people be on time if something like this launched? Who's to say.
