iMessage literally watch them type

Happy Friday everyone.

Last week I made a concept for iMessage calling out people who haven't saved your number. What I learned from posting this is that an alarmingly high number of people just don't save numbers. Regardless, it also taught me people hate having certain behaviors exposed in a messaging context.

This led me to also reflect on a Slack feature where you could watch someone's message be composed rather than waiting for them to hit send. The anxiety this creates would probably force people to use a platform.

So, to force the anxiety... what if there your camera turned on when you were replying and people could literally watch you type your reply.

In certain contexts, you could see if people are actually lol'ing at a meme you sent them, but in more serious conversations you'd get a front-row seat to see how someone navigates an emotionally intense conversation.
