iMessage minimum length requirement
What's on your mind?

Studies (according to a Google search) indicate that the average person makes 6 calls per day and sends/receives 32 texts. I’m guessing I send 250 to 300, not factoring in emails and work calls, but that’s a me problem. It’s amazing to see how much technology use has proliferated to the point where some of us communicate more on-device than we do in the real world.
When you’re dealing with a lot of information, your replies are often short out of necessity. I am 100% guilty of this. My replies at times can be one word or an emoji reaction if I can get away with it. This got me thinking, what if people could set a minimum text message character count? This is interesting because it would force you to put more thought (or at the very least content) into a message to comply with rules set by another person.
Many people would hate to have to deal with this artificial constraint. Some might simply stop texting certain people back if their minimum character count is too high. It’d be interesting to at the very least test this experience and see how people respond.
