iMessage one last text

I’m on good terms with 99.9% of the people I text. This is largely because I’m not generally combative, though I have my limits. In the last few years, spam texts and calls have gotten so much worse that I make more of a concerted effort to block different phone numbers to try and mitigate the flood of unsolicited messages I sometimes receive. I also constantly have to make data takedown requests from sites across the internet.

However, there are times when interactions with other people go awry. Thankfully I haven’t had many instances in life where I felt the need to fully block someone, but I know other people in my life have.

This got me thinking about the blocking experience. It’s very one-sided… What if there was a way to block someone while giving them a final chance to redeem themselves?

I’d venture to guess if the relationship has devolved to the point of blocking it’ll be hard to save, and some people would use this for petty reasons. However, this might be a moment where some people redeem themselves.

This would never ship because when you block someone, you need to block them, but it’s an interesting though nonetheless.
