iMessage option to add ChatGPT

It’s amazing to think that ChatGPT only launched publicly in the last ~3 years. The impact on society at large has been astounding (though likely less astounding than some VCs want it to be). I personally use ChatGPT most days, though to be frank I find it’s ability to help with any high level task pretty lackluster. Some people swear by it, and according to some recent study AI is already able to replace ~11% of the workforce.

This got me thinking about more practical near term applications. What if ChatGPT could be ported into iMessage as a conversational entity? There’s an interesting considering here about who’s account ChatGPT stems from (as the memories would be different) or if it’s a unique instance for each conversation.

Given how verbose ChatGPT tends to be, this feature would be like having the chattiest friends in the chat ever, but likely even more annoying. That said, it would be useful for things like scheduling events, directions, etc. I’m sure someone is building a version of this.
