iMessage photo notification indicator

Between DMs, and emails, I have thousands of unread notifications across different apps. I get a nice hit of anxiety and endorphins every time I look at my home screen because so many elements are red. I could switch my phone to greyscale, but whenever I do that I end up needing to see something in color, and then I inevitably switch back.

When you have a bunch of notifications on the home screen, it’s annoying because you know how many messages or alerts you have, but there’s no signal on who’s contacted you.

What if there was greater visibility here? You could imagine an experience where there are little profile pictures of every person who’s contacted you on different apps. This would get chaotic fast for people who never check their messages. Imagine several thousand little profile pictures filling up your entire screen. The images and tap targets would be so small it’d be next to impossible to select the right input.

This would be a fun jailbreak, and if apps like Gmail showed notifications in this way, you’d also end up getting a bunch of company images here too.
