iMessage Saved Number Alerts

I'm the worst at remembering to save people's phone numbers. I used to be great about doing this, but then life got busy and it's just so much work to tap three buttons to save someone's contact information.

This got me wondering how we might motivate people to save contact info more proactively. A thought came to mind: what if iMessage outed people who haven't saved your number yet?

This feels like an extension of read receipts. It would indicate a level of disinterest or laziness in the individual who hasn't saved your information.

A feature like this would likely cause more harm than good, but it may lead people to save contact information to avoid awkward moments like this.
