iMessage spam to get a reply

The iMessage memes I currently make have a limited shelf life due to the recent updates to Apple’s operating system that will be rolling out soon. I could take time to comment on Apple Glass, but I’m not going to yap about things when literally every other designer on planet earth is already sharing their opinion.

I digress. Sometimes you need to get people to text you back. One solution is to regularly text the person or call them if it’s urgent. But what if there was a way Apple Intelligence could intervene? I’m imagining an experience where, if someone doesn’t reply promptly, you’re upsold the ability to spam them with replies until they respond.

This would be a nightmare for everyone. Cell carriers, consumers on both ends of the conversation, and every group chat this went out to would likely hate it because the person no one wants to respond to feels like the most likely candidate to use it.

There’s little to no utility here, but the chaos this would incite could be studied.
