iMessage watch them respond

I finally did it. I updated to the new OS. Ironically, I work in the technology space but adopting these seismic shifts in devices I regularly use is tough. However, my wife said “everyone I’ve talked to likes it, you can change the background photos in iMessage”. Wild how the average user just wants to make their dog their texting background. We talk a big game about the changes we’re making with technology, but most people just need parity with features Android has years ago.

Anyways, I digress. What if with this new update you could quite literally watch people respond to your message? They made an update to group chats where you can see who’s typing, but I like the idea of seeing them type.

There’s no utility here but it would add a nice fun social element to chat. I don’t think iOS would do this because it’s slightly invasive and would gobble up battery, but it’s fun to think about how we can remove the barrier between people when they are connecting digitally.
