For content that gets shared a lil too much

Happy Saturday everyone.

I don't use social media much these days, but everyone once and a while I hop on to see what family and friends get up to. However, I have observed that many of my friends are constantly sharing reels with each other in DMs. I somehow missed this, but it doesn't feel like I'm missing much.

People will sometimes request that I design specific ideas, but one idea has been shared enough times that it feels like an actual pain point: a disclaimer that someone has already seen the content you are trying to share.

At first glance, this could be useful but the if you play this situation out a disclaimer like this would likely increase the friction of sharing and might result in fewer videos going viral. It's useful for people who see the same content a lot but not so much for the companies motivated to get people to consume as much content as possible.

Also, this design likely isn't the actual way it would be implemented, but hey, it's a start.
