Instagram story view count

I remember back in the day when Instagram was a place where you posted photos. Yes, I’m aware I sound like an old fart since Instagram hasn’t served the purpose of photo sharing for nearly 10 years, but here we are.

I am a daily user of Instagram, not because I love the app or want to keep up with friends, but rather because I have now built a career on churning out interface memes daily (I’ve been doing it for 2 years come January 3rd).

Part of my workflow is posting my memes to my story for greater “visibility” though I’m not sure how effective this is. This got me thinking about my most loyal fans (whom I deeply appreciate). How many times do they look at a story?

To be fair, my content is quite innocuous and doesn’t merit much scrutiny, but I’m sure there are other creators in other… genres of content that have repeat viewership. What if this was visible to the creator?

First off, this would be alarming to see, as I’m sure some people view stories WAY too much. Second, it’d be helpful to see who your biggest (or most obsessed) fans are.

Doubtful it ships, but some people would find value in it!
